Commercial kitchens · Edmonton & area

Where heat, grease and scrutiny meet, detail matters.

ELR provides commercial kitchen deep cleaning for restaurants and food-service environments in Edmonton—building the scope around equipment, access, shutdown windows, current buildup and the result the operation needs before reopening.

The back-of-house standard

A kitchen can look busy. It should never look uncontrolled.

Grease migrates, residue builds in edges and equipment creates access limitations that ordinary cleaning does not resolve. ELR separates daily housekeeping from deeper corrective work and defines what can be safely reached, moved and restored during the available shutdown window.

01

Accumulated grease

Cooking vapour and splatter settle beyond the obvious working surface and harden over time.

02

Access complexity

Equipment, active oil, heat, utilities and fixed installations determine what can be cleaned safely.

03

Operational pressure

The work must be coordinated around shutdown, cooling, staff access and reopening requirements.

Detailed scope

What the service can include.

Every commercial kitchen differs. Subject to inspection, access and the approved quotation, the scope may include:

Scope 01

Cooking line & equipment exteriors

  • Degreasing of accessible equipment exteriors
  • Control panels cleaned using equipment-safe methods
  • Accessible sides, fronts, legs and lower surfaces
  • Interior cavities only when expressly included and safe
Scope 02

Preparation & stainless surfaces

  • Prep tables, shelves and accessible work surfaces
  • Stainless wall panels and backsplashes
  • Sinks, splash zones and exterior plumbing surfaces
  • Detailing around edges, joints and contact points
Scope 03

Floors, walls & perimeter

  • Degreasing of accessible kitchen flooring
  • Edges, corners, kick plates and wall junctions
  • Washable wall areas within agreed scope
  • Accessible surface drains and surrounding floor areas
Scope 04

Back-of-house detail

  • Exterior faces of coolers and storage equipment
  • Accessible shelving when emptied or approved
  • Doors, handles and high-contact surfaces
  • Final wipe-down and visual review of included areas

Important: cooking oil must be removed or securely protected by the operator before surrounding work. Gas, electrical or plumbing disconnection must be completed by an appropriately qualified person. Exhaust-duct, fire-suppression, hazardous, pest, grease-trap and regulated remediation services are excluded unless expressly assessed and contracted.

Service design

The right service depends on what the kitchen is preparing for.

ELR recommends the service structure after understanding the facility, current condition, operating constraints and required result.

01

Corrective deep clean

Target accumulated grease, neglected detail and hard-to-maintain zones through an agreed project scope.

02

Periodic detail program

Schedule deeper work around the kitchen's production cycle before buildup becomes the normal condition.

03

Opening or handover reset

Prepare a kitchen following renovation, operator change, vacancy or another defined transition.

From request to result

A controlled path through the work.

Kitchen cleaning cannot be responsibly scoped from a generic checklist alone. Equipment, utilities, heat, oil and shutdown time all affect the plan.

01

Inspect

Review equipment, buildup, access, utilities, active oil and priority areas.

02

Isolate

Confirm shutdown, cooling, food removal, equipment status and operator responsibilities.

03

Deep clean

Execute the approved degreasing and detail work using surface-appropriate methods.

04

Handover

Review included areas, limitations and any follow-up recommendations before reopening.

Who this serves

Built for food-service environments where the back of house carries the brand.

If your facility has a different operating model, ask ELR to assess it. Suitability is confirmed from the actual requirement.

What shapes a kitchen-cleaning quotation?

Kitchen size matters, but the equipment line, grease load and safe access usually matter more.

  • Number, type and condition of equipment units
  • Grease level and time since the last detailed clean
  • Areas requiring interior versus exterior attention
  • Whether equipment can be safely moved or isolated
  • Shutdown duration, cooling time and reopening deadline
  • Floors, walls, shelving, drains and adjoining areas

Frequently asked questions

Important before you request a quotation.

Still deciding what belongs in the scope? Call +1 587-378-4229 or send the facility details through the booking page.

How much does commercial kitchen cleaning cost in Edmonton?

Pricing depends on kitchen size, equipment count, buildup, accessibility, included interiors, shutdown timing and the depth of work requested. Photos or a walkthrough are normally required for a reliable quotation.

Do you clean inside ovens, fryers and other equipment?

Interior equipment cleaning is included only when specifically assessed, quoted and safe. Equipment must be cooled, emptied and prepared as required. ELR does not disconnect regulated utilities.

Can you clean around a fryer that still contains cooking oil?

Active cooking oil creates contamination and safety risks. The operator should remove or securely protect oil before surrounding degreasing. The exact approach must be confirmed during assessment.

Do you provide commercial hood and duct cleaning?

Surface cleaning of accessible hood exteriors may be scoped. Internal exhaust-duct and fire-suppression work is a specialized service and is not represented as included unless expressly assessed and contracted through the appropriate capability.

Can the work be completed overnight?

Overnight or closed-hours work may be arranged based on shutdown time, cooling requirements, building access, scope size and team availability.

How should the kitchen be prepared?

Food should be removed or secured, equipment cooled, active oil addressed, loose items cleared and access instructions confirmed. ELR provides project-specific preparation requirements before service.

Do you offer recurring kitchen deep cleaning?

Yes. Periodic detailed cleaning can be scheduled around the operation to complement—not replace—the kitchen's daily sanitation program.
